WOYWW 174

Good Morning

We're up and off to the races. I found this blog actually a while ago but was not a blogger but since blogging and carrying my crafting a bit further I decided to participate. I so enjoy reading about other crafters' projects, seeing their inspiration desks, and seeing that I'm not the only one who leaves a crafting trail.

The stuff on my desk needs to be organized. I emptied out a small crate that I originally purchased to organize and store my scraps but somehow it became a dumping ground for everything small. Well, I got it emptied and now have to find homes for them. The tags on the left need a home and right in from of them are some Maya Road and Michael's chipboard pieces that need a home. The fabric under the tag bag needs a home and so do the birds nest center stage. I also found in the stash some papers I had embossed but decided not to use for whatever reason and now make a some type of card with them. No need throwing good paper away.

You can see the blue baskets that should be for paper scraps, well right now the one on the table has other stuff in it and the one on the floor has "all" of the paper scraps. I originally wanted solid colors in one and the other would be for designs (floral, dots, masculine, butterfly, glittered, stripes, holiday, etc).

I first thought about putting those items in this bag and letting it hang, but did not like it. I "originally" bought this Ikea crochet bag to hang in my closet but it has yet to make it to the bedroom. So back to brainstorming.

Aside from cleaning my area, I need to begin working on some projects. The due date always comes before you know it and I usually end of changing my mind on how I want to put the project together.

Happy bloggers, walk in faith today and know that God is and God can. There is nothing too great for God, even when it seems too big for us [to handle]. Praying God shows up in the midst of our situation[s] and not only speaks a word but delivers us [again].

Be blessed

  4. Hi there!! Lovely to see your space, I am always re-organising mine (should really stop buying stuff I suppose). I like your dangley storage on the carousel (or is it a tiered fruit basket? I too have a box that ends up with all the little things in it - at some point you do have to find a space for them or throw them away (usually when the container is overflowing!!) HappyWOYWW and thanks for visitng me today. Cindy #46

  5. Hello Anita, Thanks for visiting my desk today. One of the fun things about WOYWW is not only the inspiration but I meet someone new every week.

I am a member of Scraps of Color too. We will have to chat further some time.

As for organization of space. I too suffer from the organize, reorganize, organize...never quite satisfied. After a while I just go back to crafting and figure one day, I will make peace with my space.

You have a nice space with all your stuff easy to reach so that's got to be great.

Have a blessed week and I hope to see you on SOC.

  6. Thank you so much for stopping by. I do like your space and that clip up thingy on your desk. I am looking for one of those to hang my stamps on. But, so far I am not having any luck. I was going to follow your blog, but could not find your followers list. #83

    1. Hi Joyanna,

check walmart or target for the 3 tier revolving shoe rack. I believe about $20 or less. I added cardboard in the bottom of the trays for storage. good luck.

    2. Joyanna, thanks for letting me know there was no follow button. OMG, I am trying to learn blogging and I did not know how to add it until I found a video today. Wish there were a class.

  7. Welcome to WOYWW! How nice to have you along...hope your day at the races has been a good one! I have been through I don't know how many versions of good idea storage for my scraps..ad have finally settled on a shoebox size box, one for plain and one for patterns. The plains are colour separated in groups - white/cream pinks to reds, you know. The patterns are not, but it works for me. Your sace is lovely, and already looking really organised - that pin hole board on the wall is ace. Trouble is, we seem to need to have it allaround us if we want to be sure to use it....I don't know if there's a cure!

    1. Hi Julia, well I finally seperated them and put them in those memory keeper folders. I put solids in one and patterned in another. I will eventually redo it.

  8. Hi Anita thank you for popping by to visit me. I can see you are having fun getting organised. I am a huge fan of Ikea storage. I have not seen that fun hangar before - I can see why you might keep it next to you rather than hide it in a closet! Welcome to WOYWW have fun hopping and I know you will find even more inspiration for clever storage along the way. Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 65

  9. Love your desk pic,I think A) all us crafters can never have too much storage sppace, and B) we keep thinking there has to be a better way than we currently use! I swear I spend as much time sorting & re- organising as I do crafting.Have a great week, Shaz #58

  10. This is my second go at welcoming you to our WOYWW family ...one of my cats stood on the keyboard and it disappeared ...my comment, not the cat.
My space is total chaos and my crafting Mojo has deserted me so I am posting about cats and food and Gkids but no one seems to mind....family never does.
You have a great space ....well organized but I dont think any crafter ever feels they have got it right when it comes to storage. xx#38
