Just Rite Stamps &Spellbinders

Hi blog friends.

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable weekend. Speak over your day and you shall have what you decree.

As part of the things I ordered, I've wanted to try the Justrite stamps for a while. Lucky me, they were having a sale. (looking around) did someone say sale? hehehe. My things have been sitting in a box waiting for me to play with them.

You know what, my paper, my punches, my dies, my glues...all of my crafting supplies must feel like Woody and the Gang from Toy Story. They cannot wait for me use them. I can only imagine the conversations they had; all closed up in that Priority Mail box. Well ladies, I apologize now for locking you in there. Please forgive me and Let's Get to the Fun.

Well, that's out of the way and I think I've been forgiven.

Justrite Stampers have some many beautiful things, I could not decide. In the excitement I ordered 2 of the same item.
Here is a list of all my goodness. I can not wait to play.

These are only a few of the stamps. I am so excited and cannot wait to use these. Even with Christmas coming, I'm now planning my Christmas cards.
I also got a few spellbinders to add to my meager list.

Seeing some of the designs from them on different blogs helped me make my decision. I will be using them today.

Dies and MME Paper Day

Hi blog friends!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday. I am back and so excited. I placed a couple orders and they all arrived at the same time. Some of these were on my crafting wish list (they all should have been). I cannot wait to use them. The Cheery Lynn dies are amazing. I ordered them through Dutch Paper Crafts; they were cheaper there. If you are looking for Cheery Lynn products, definitely check her out. I was surprised everything arrived so quickly. The only thing was that the day after they arrived, I had deployment for work and wouldn't get to play with them until today.

I got some doilies from Dutch Paper Crafts.

I will be using them this week. I also purchased some flourishes and leaves. I think flourishes and leaves always come in handy

Last but not least, I got the exotic butterfly. At first, I was only going to get the butterfly without the angel wing, but I'm glad I got both.

I also tried scrapbooksteals for the first time and purchased some My Mind's Eye 6 x 6 stacks. Although I thought the shipping was a bit high, the product came extremely quick and I am happy with what I got. I cannot wait to use the paper. I've got a few other projects in line that I want to complete.

The paper is super cute and I cannot wait to use it.

I got the Blink of an Eye, All Spice, A Happy Heart, Everyday Flair, and Darling Dear. I wanted some additional stacks but by the time I logged on that morning they had been sold out. :(

Hope you enjoyed viewing some of my goodies. I cannot wait to use them. There are of course other things on my wish list but this is a good start.

Paper makes me so bubbly!
Have a Blessed Day

Card Swap

Hi All,

I am so excited. I particiapted in my first ever event...a card swap over at Scraps of Color. It was a bit of a challenge getting all the cards done due to a family matter, but I met the deadline. The card design is not what I originally had in mind, but due to time I had to change it. I like the end result. I can't wait to see what I receive in the swap.

The cards are A2 size, which IMO made it easier and quicker to make. I did not use a lot of embellishments because I wanted the card to be easy and inexpensive for others to mail them.

I chose colors/themes you'd find in a male necktie/shirt or complimentary.

The theme was birthday cards. I used a tan base with black, browns, and whites.

I used a sentiment that I found on the web, not sure where and made it brown to match the card. I border under the sentiment is the scraps of paper that were left from cutting the paper to size. I thought this would be a good way not to add to the already mess of scrap paper I already have.

The envelopes, I stamped brown with Happy Birthday sentiment to match the card and give it a bit of uumph.

I still have not learned to write down what paper collection or stamp set I'm using. But I will definitely do it for the next card (no promises).

Hope you enjoyed the card as much as I did and I'm looking forward to doing a challenge where I only make one card.

Happy Birthday, Thank You, and Baby

Hi There,

Hope everyone is having a teriffic Tuesday. I wanted to share some cards I'd made. For me, even though I don't always know what I want to put on a card or the end result I want to have, I always enjoy the process. Card making is relaxing to me, even during the putting together phase.

I made this card for a friend who shared a day with me for my birthday. I like the way the card turned. I enjoy how everything seemed to come together. The pin was from an antique shopping store in Mount Dora FL. I wanted to incorporate it in the card.
I used some Iamroses flowers (which I absolutely enjoy using). I purchased so many, as a new card maker, I don't know how or when I'd possibly use them all. But I will enjoy using them along the way. The sentiment stamp is a JustRite stamp I found in a discount bin a while ago.

Birthday Card
The birthday card is for a cousin. I'm so sorry I don't know what stamp I used. I had do the image twice. The first one I glittered and did not like it. It made the image look to heavy for the card. I used another Iamroses flower. I like the card.

Sympathy Card
This card was made with the paper as the primary item I liked. I saw this at Hobby Lobby. It was priced at clearance, but the sale price would have been cheaper. Since it was the last stack, I went ahead and bought it. I like every paper in the collection.

The baby shower card for a church member, my daughter (who does not like crafting) helped pick out the card design and embellishments. I wanted to use a clothespin in the design and used it to attach the sentiment, that was detachable.

Just wanted to share some previous cards with you. Now I'm off to deciding which card challenge I want to enter. I need to create daily to perfect my cards.

Hope you all enjoyed the cards.

Have a God Blessed day,

Thank you card

Hi all,

It has been a long week, but I'm glad to be back home. The past weekend I went to my granny's funeral and it was as difficult as I thought it would be. An amazing and loving woman. I moved a few months ago and the new tenants were nice enough to bring mail that had still been delivered to the old address to our home yesterday. Thank God for kind people. Inside the stack of junk and magazines was this thoughtful card that was sent in April.

This was quite a nice surprise. The card is beautiful. It also has a bookmark (dream, imagine, create, inspire) attached that I will be using. I am enjoying my Stampin' Up products but want to use them a bit more. I like how the note is a pull out from the card and the card can be reused/resent. Thank you Cybil.

Just wanted to share my nice surprise I received in the mail.

Have a God blessed weekend.
