WOYWW #220

Hi WOYWWers..

i'm so glad to be crafting in the midst of preparing to move in a month or so. I know it won't last long; I should be packing instead of crafting.  I'd luv to be adding maybe 2 more projects to the table but I won't..at least not today [hahahah] tomorrow may be a different story.

right now I'm completed a swap for YPP. Since I knew I'd be busy I only chose one swap. I'd luv to have participated in the journal swap or the mail art swap or altered Altoids swap or maybe even the die cuts.

i should have mine done by today. Unfortunately, my ink pad is either used up or drying out. Trying to stamp without smearing is tough; especially on the larger stamps. See the girl with Halloween to the left; i stamped her 3 times and each time a tiny smear was somewhere on the paper.  i'll keep it and use it for my art journal or do something with her. no need in wasting her/them.. there is a pile of misstamps under her that will be used in my journal.

i need that thingy that you push down and you can see through it for the larger stamps.
i also need to be completing a card for my niece who is turning 5. I will get it done tomorrow...nothing too fancy.

This should be called what craziness do you notice on the desk..See how many you can find.

Now this picture, see I don't like pulling out my camera so I used my daughter's iPhone and tried to use panoramic. My desk is not curved nor was it ever. I don't know why panoramic curves things...or was it me?

Well that's all for now. I have a few projects to get done or shall I say more closer to done today. Thanks for stopping by.

So glad God gives me the desire and ability to craft.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.

Praying God's manifested blessing over your day.

...and she said pack your stuff.

Yep, that's what she keeps saying. "Pack your jive, we are moving soon." I am so thankful that we will be moving into our new home by October [weather withholding]. I will finally have a craft room instead of a craft corner. She says all my stuff will not fit in the craft room, but I don't understand her logic.  I'm going from a corner....to a room. Oh goody goody gum drops....you have no clue what's gonna fit. I even purchased a used 7 drawer dresser from the good will for about $40. I'm deciding what color I want my craft room to be. I'm thinking of painting most pieces washed white and a pop of color on some. I will post pictures of the redone furniture soon.

Sadly though with preparing to move, I have to start packing up stuff so we're not waiting to the last minute. I don't like waiting til the last minute. I know how I want my things packed too. We will be enlisting the help of family and friends for the move. I'm looking forward to buying new storage for my craft room. I've seen a few pieces at ikea and as much as I enjoy vintage furniture, I would not like it in my craft room to work on. Maybe for a display area or just her work desk.

I've signed up for one swap over at YPP and once that's done next week, the only thing I think I'll leave out is my art journal and pour my markers/pencils/crayons into plastic bags to use.

Not creating for that long....I'd be sick.

Happy crafting.

More Card Shares

Good Morning Blog Friends,

Since I've finally gotten back to blogging, I wanted to share some cards I've made. I don't know why I did not post them sooner, but here we go.

My next post hopefully will be of a completed journal I'm working on. It's not for me, but I want one for me.:).  There is no way possible I can keep everything I make...where would I store it.

I made the envelope using my new tool... We R Memory Keepers new Envelope maker. super cool tool.

A birthday card a my daughter's bestie. I'm learning to use my copics still. After I colored it, I noticed a few things I'd liked changed but overall...not bad. I forget who the digi image is from.

My first wedding card.

The tag at the top slid behind the veil material..I thought it was cute.

Using my silhouette

Using my silhouette and Martha stewart punch

Another silhouette card.

this is the sleeve that holds this card since I did not have an envelope.

Hope you enjoyed.

Blog Neglect & My first altered box

Hello bloggers. Where do I start? Sometimes I don't know where to start; it can't always be at the beginning. I have so neglected my blog but I have been busy creating. Of course not as busy as I'd like to be. I have not been in my art journal for a while. Art journaling, journaling, just creating is where I go just to unwind, not have to think about anything except that which makes me happy.

Even a mistake...who would know.

Pinterest?!??!!...Oh my goodness. I do so much "pinning" that I have not been crafting. It is so addicting. Being able to see so many beautiful and inspiring works of art all in one place...yayyyyyyyyy.  You can view my Pinterest boards here.

I'm currently working on another project but here are a few of the ones I have completed.

My sister's birthday was a great opportunity to make my 1st alter box. I enjoyed it, but the mirror on top created a bit of a challenge.

Sorry for the background...I'm working on it.

Since the top had a recess in it, I attached this small folder that houses a small mini to either journal or add photos.

I enjoyed making this and will definitely be making more.

Hope you enjoyed viewing and hoping you are having a God Blessed Day.
